Daily Drawing No. 4
I had so much fun with this one. Children can be hard for me to draw due to their undefined features and general softness. But this project is challenging me to push beyond my self-imposed limitations.
Interestingly, I seem to be moving into a more illustrative style. This makes sense, as Illustration was in fact my first major in college — before I switched to Painting, and eventually French.
I’m enjoying playing with a certain softness in the focal area of a piece, defining that focal point with simple blocks of shape and texture. This is going to be a blast to develop!
